While she is in the company of so many Afrodiasporic writers who move from bayou to Black Atlantic,
to Leimert Park, I'm not sure there is any Los Angeles poet who moves from Degnan Blvd to Palms Blvd to Sunset and Gower with the specificity and soul force of Imani Tolliver.
